Please let me know how to do this. I haven't found an option in the Admin Console.

Thanks.

You do not do this... the guest does. There is a link for it in every email sent to non-members (e.g. guests).

They click the link in any email and their email address gets wiped out so even if you sent to them again, they will not get it.

That doesn't work for me. I have a number of elderly people who won't respond to my instructions about finding a link in their email so that they won't be bothered by my email in the future. Anyway, that's not what I'd want them to do even if they could figure it out.

I'd like to keep their email addresses on record, for future reference on special occasions, but I don't wish to trouble them with any more emails. I also don't like the kludges available to me: 1) Wipe out their records; 2) Change their email addresses so that they're undeliverable.

This is a real, and obvious, need that the software doesn't seem to address: Of course, the administrator should be able to prevent any individual from receiving further email without trashing any information.

Thanks for thinking about it!

Ok, putting unsubscribe links in list emails is pretty standard practice for any email list distribution, so we are following what is considered to be best practice. I purposely make the unsubscribe links stand out (in a gray background box) at the bottom of emails so that they are easily found.

Suggestion:

Move the required guests to your Friends/Affiliates list and put something in the notes to say that they are only to be contacted when necessary. This assumes that you won't be sending bulk emails to your Friends/Affiliates list. My club uses that to hold contact details for people that we would contact individually (or as a custom group), eg Presidents of other clubs in our Area, or venue hire, badge orders etc.

When you do want to contact the "partially unsubscribed" guests, put them into a custom group and copy that group in on the email.

Of course, if anyone does use the unsubscribe option in the email, you will lose their address.
