In the agenda there is a note that says you can add in the following html

NOTE: bold, italics, ]underline[/u], &
may be used for bold, italics, underline, and line break.

But when I try to add this html is is not working it just shows the html and is not making the text bold and underline or adding in a line break.

This is what I added. (The purpose is to use this as a footer)

Speech #1 - The Ice Breaker

Objectives: To begin speaking before an audience. To discover speaking skills you already have and skills that need some attention.
Speech #2 - Organize Your Speech

Objectives: Select an appropriate outline which allows listeners to easily follow and understand your speech. Make your message clear, with supporting material directly contributing to that message. Use appropriate transitions when moving from one idea to another. Create a strong opening and conclusion.
Speech #3 - Get to the Point

Objectives: Select a speech topic and determine its general and specific purposes. Organize the speech in a manner that best achieves those purposes. Ensure the beginning, body and conclusion reinforce the purposes. Project sincerity and conviction and control any nervousness you may feel. Strive not to use notes.
Speech #4 - How to Say It

Objectives: Select the right words and sentence structure to communicate your ideas clearly, accurately and vividly. Use rhetorical devices to enhance and emphasize ideas. Eliminate jargon and unnecessary words. Use correct grammar.
Speech #5 - Your Body Speaks

Objectives: Use stance, movement, gestures, facial expressions and eye contact to express your message and achieve your speech's purpose. Make your body language smooth and natural.
Speech #6 - Vocal Variety

Objectives: Use voice volume, pitch, rate and quality to reflect and add meaning and interest to your message. Use pauses to enhance your message. Use vocal variety smoothly and naturally.
Speech #7 - Research Your Topic

Objectives: Collect information about your topic from numerous sources. Carefully support your points and opinions with specific facts, examples and illustrations gathered through research.
Speech #8 - Get Comfortable with Visual Aids

Objectives: Select visual aids that are appropriate for your message and the audience. Use visual aids correctly with ease and confidence.
Speech #9 - Persuade with Power

Objectives: Persuade listeners to adopt your viewpoint or ideas or to take some action. Appeal to the audience's interests. Use logic and emotion to support your position. Avoid using notes.
Speech #10 - Inspire Your Audience

Objectives: To inspire your audience by appealing to noble motives and challenging the audience to achieve a higher level of beliefs or achievement. Appeal to the audience's needs and emotions, using stories, anecdotes and quotes to add drama. Avoid using notes. [8-10 mins]

If you put that on the Agenda it will be many pages.

All that information is in their manual which there evaluator has and should read out loud before they start speaking.

I am not concerned about the length for now.

I would still like to find out how to add in this html and have it work.

Do you know how to get the html to work?

We use BBCodes for the formatting codes. The system converts those to html for you.

So use [ b ] and [ /b ] (no spaces) for start bold and end bold, respectively.

I forgot that the forum also uses bbcodes... makes talking about them more challenging.

Use [ b ] and [ /b ] (no spaces)

Thanks that worked for the Bold and underline.

But I can't get the line breaks to work I use
before the word and [/br] after the word

I also tried putting nothing before the word and [/br] after the word.

But it is showing the words
instead of putting in the line break

there is no [/br]

It is just the [ br ] where you want the line break (no spaces)
