Dear Sir, Madam,

I am the administrator of Aoyama Lunch 4334 in Tokyo.

I changed the admin console password and now the members could not log in anymore.

The website is:
aoyamalunch.toastmastersclubs.org/

As a simple member, I was able to change my password.

Now all the members of Aoyama could not log in anymore.
Do I have to change all the member's password by myself?

So, my question is:

How can you change (in PHP/MySQL) the admin password without making an interference with all the members password.
I am sure there is an option in the admin console that I did not choose.

Kind regards,

Remi

PS: I am a freelance web developer, so you can speak with technical words.

Changing g the Administration password has no effect on members access to the club member accounts.

Use the forgot password link on the Administration pop-up to reset the admin password.

Your mysql question is not appropriate for this forum.

Dear Brian,

Thank you for your help.

This is the same thing I done before.
And this affect all the member's passwords.

How can I change the admin password without changing the default password for the members.

Kind regards,

Remi

Remi,

Unless everyone uses the same password, changing the admin password will not affect the members, like Brian said earlier.

Hi Roger,

I understand your point of view.

We have a default password set for all the members when I became webmaster in April.
This same default password was the same for the admin console.
Now I want to change the admin console password ONLY.

Some users, like me, has changed their password, but a lot of members use the ADMIN password to log in.

Thank you for your support.

Kind regards from Tokyo,

Remi

Remi,

The best way to have the users set their passwords is to send all of them a password reset link via membership management by sending them the New Member Welcome.

Ok Roger,

I will do with this answer.

The other thing.
The website is in HTML5 but it is not responsive design.

Here in Japan, 60% of our visitors are using mobile/tablet devices to visit the website.

Kind regards,

Remi

Responsive design is nice when you have people who understand website design. FTH has to run at the lowest common denominator of club website design capability. We keep FTH at a level where people who can use Gmail, yahoo mail, Hotmail etc can manage their website.
