and/or: Where is the text of the Custom Website Domain field used?

I added our new domain name (watertownsaturdaytoastmasters.org) in the Custom Website Domain field on the Basic Settings tab. After pressing Save, and seeing the message "watertownsaturdaytoastmasters.org", I scroll down to the bottom of the Basic Settings tab, and the Custom Website Domain is still correct: watertownsaturdaytoastmasters.org.

After closing the admin console and launching the admin console, the Custom Website Domain has been changed to www.watertownsaturdaytoastmasters.org. This is not how I want to refer to our club site. The "www" is not necessary to reach our site. Our domain is too long already. We don't need even more characters.

Two questions:

How can I prevent the Custom Website Domain value from being altered after I enter it?

Where is the Custom Website Domain value displayed to members? I've already corrected the address by replacing the {{WEBURL}} references in the New Member Welcome Message. Are there other places that display the WWW.Custom Website Domain? If not, then it doesn't matter that the "www" is added to the domain I entered.

thanks!

It is the code that way. I am not going to change that.

Ok – sounds good. I combed through the documentation and the only place I found mention of {{WEBURL}} was in the New Member Welcome message, so I guess it doesn't matter anyway. Thanks for the quick answer!
