At our last meeting our VPE created a nice handout that our guests raved about. It gave them info with little-to-none TM jargon and acronyms.

It gives visitors something to read when perhaps they are a bit intimidated or just shy in joining others in conversation. Making oftentimes timid visitors feel welcome really goes a long way.

This sheet includes most all the info a visitor wants to know including membership costs. This is a topic we've found visitors sometimes are a bit reluctant to ask. So why not offer it up in clear detail?

At our last meeting three, yes three, visitors joined our club. Was it the handout or because we have an awesome club with awesome people. It all helps :-)

Feel free to download this file and edit the content as desired for your club.

In Brad's PDF total of $69 it looked like $36 for membership TI $6 for the Club and $20 for new member fees. They had a total of $69. It should be $62.. In case the member might write a check for $69.

The PDF version is attached or download in Word format: goo.gl/a4yLqj

My VPE says the math is correct. Her breakdown.

$20 = One time new member kit
$36 = 6 months International dues
$06 = 6 months club dues
$06 = 1 month international dues (pro rated for March)
$01 = 1 month club dues (pro rated for March)

Good catch Brian! I originally got those stats from Wikipedia.

I've updated the Toastmasters Wikipedia entry along with my files here on this thread.
