FTH 2 - Ready for Prime Time!

Written by Bo Bennett on . Posted in Blog

About three weeks ago today, we released FTH 2.0 to the public.  During the last three weeks, thanks to the dedication, support, and constructive feedback from hundreds of "early adopters", we have made an already great system event better -- a system that is now certainly ready for "prime time".

Developing web software is nothing like the old days of coding.  It is an interactive process that requires real-time user feedback from users that use different web-browsers, computing platforms, and all have a different basic understanding of web technology.  It is only through this kind of global "focus group" can a web-based product approach perfection.

While not perfect, and certainly not complete (software that fails to evolve is software that is headed for obsolescence), FTH 2.0 (technically more like 2.1, but keeping 2.0 for simplicity) is ready for mass adoption by all Toastmasters clubs who are using FTH 1.0, or are wanted to take advantage of the FreeToastHost platform for the first time.

Once we complete the administrator guide and some demonstration videos, we will be sending a mass e-mail to all users of FTH 1.0 encouraging the move to FTH 2.0 ASAP.

Once again, a big thanks to those who have worked so hard with me in these last few weeks to get FTH to where it is today.  Special thank you to Brian, Alan, Jane, and Roger, my lead technical guy and your "FreeToastHost Ambassadors".
