We have a legacy forwarding email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., that we need to have forward to the Treasurer, President and VPM, is this possible.

We had been using this with our paypal account, however, we need a way to more than one person informed when payments come in.

Please let me know.

Make a custom group called dues for the members in question. The group cannot be tied to officer roles, only specific members.

Then whitelist the sending address that emails from paypal would be coming from. You need to determine what that paypal address would be and either white list the address or white list the paypal domain. Be aware that sometimes companies will change those addresses over time, so whitelisting the domain might be a better bet, although it does make you more vulnerable to spam. (including paypal spam) Keep in mind that you can use the domain for the whitelist, and black list specific email addresses within that domain. (a combination approach)

You can directly make one member custom groups publically accessible via the setting for that, but for more than one group member, you will need to white list the sending address so that it does not get blocked by the email handler. A white listed sender is treated just like a normal member sending to the custom group.

I would recommend doing some test sends to the dues group from a non-paypal address that you also whitelist so that you can get a feel for what is going on.

I do suggest testing it.

I did send out a test email, with me included, and just waiting for the other group members to confirm receipt. Just to be sure, nobody else except for emails from whitelisted domains, and the officers can email the group.

Is there a way to make it such that all can email the group?

As it is a members only group, any club member should be able to email to the dues group.

The whitelisting stipulation is strictly for from addresses that do not correspond to members. (The from address is not a member profile.) Since the Paypal sending address would not be a member (unless you made it a dummy member), that is why it must be whitelisted.

However, if you are just testing, and the from address is in a member profile for your club, then the whitelisting is unnecessary for members email addresses. (as it is essentially members sending to members) I was suggesting doing the whitelisting just for testing from a non-member address.
