Why does a club number appear in cached url in Google under the club name. e.g. 751215.toastmastersclubs.org/
I have changed the club name alias several times and cleared browsing history without success.

Advice appreciated.

Most likely, because that is the address that is in your TM Find A Club listing: www.toastmasters.org/Find-a-Club/00751215-jetty-toastmasters (hover mouse over Visit This Website and look at bottom left of screen)

Google tends to put a high priority on URLs from Find a Club, which is why I keep harping on clubs to pay attention to what they have entered in the Club Central meeting information ... that is what ends up on Find a Club.

Even if you update your club info on Club Central, though, it may take a bit for Google to update. You will have to wait until next time its indexing "robot" (a software program) scans Find A Club again. You can use Google Webmaster tools to force the bot to scan your website again sooner, but you may still have to wait a bit for the Find A Club entry to get corrected in the next robot pass there--neither you nor we can control when it scans the TM Find a Club entries--we are not part of TM Intl... we are an independent group of Toastmasters members doing this FTH effort.
