Hi,
I am not able to log into the FTH site for club #8981 (Calgary Advanced Toastmasters).

I can log in once, and have done so to set up some info in my user profile.
When I try to log in again it says, my password is wrong. No -- it IS correct.
I am able to log in ok as a member of 2 other clubs #6620 and #4393266.

Is there something different about this club's set-up?

Thank you.
Al Gibson

You seem to have logged out a few minutes after posting this message.

Check that you don't have Caps Lock set when entering your password - it is case sensitive.

If all else fails - try resetting your password - you might have had caps lock on or had a typo of some sort when you set it the first time

I'm sorry, it;s just NOT working for Club #8981.

I did the cookie thing, following the instructions for Chrome. No change! Same issue! BTW it does not appear to be site specific. I'm also very familiar with caps lock, etc.

"You have errors in your form below. Please scroll down and correct the following:
Wrong password, please try again. To create a password for the first time or to reset your password please leave the password field blank, then click the Authenticate button."

When I did the reset-password process, I get this error message on "Create Your Password":

"You have errors in your form below. Please scroll down and correct the following:
Invalid password."

Intuitively, this makes no sense when I am creating a NEW password.
But if I click on Close, I'm in!

No issue logging into the other 2 club sites, either as member or administrator. (Clubs #6620 and #4393266)

I think you may just need to re-authenticate... create a new password.

You may have had a typo when you created the password originally. (it happens)

Chrome. Same one I have been using for over a year to successfully log in and use FTH for the other 2 clubs.

Did that. AGAIN!
Also cleared browsing data (cookies, history, cached images and files) in Chrome.
Identical behavior - no change at all from my previous notes.
As a test, I just logged into my other 2 clubs (#6620 and #4393266) -- no issues at all!
If 2 work and 1 doesn't, it's very unlikely the problem is at my end.
Maybe there is something wrong with my user record for club #8981.

The login record shows that you were logged in 34 minutes ago - so 10 minutes before your last post.

What exactly happens when you attempt to log in?

Hi,

I also logged into clubs 6620 and 4393266 about the same time, with NO ISSUES. Are those records different from the one for club 8981 (which is still giving me grief tonight).

What happens? Please refer to the attached file with 2 screen shots.

The first one shows the error when I try to log in. Believe me, my password is CORRECT.
I close that pop-up, and I can't log in.

If I leave the password blank and click Authenticate/Login, I receive an email about setting a new password.
The second screen shot shows the error when I try to set a new password and log in.
Again, the password is CORRECT.
How can I get an error setting a new password? Makes no sense!
If I close that pop-up, I get into FTH and it appears to work ok.

Once I log out, it's game over. I can't log in without going around this loop again.

As I have said before, the other 2 clubs work just fine. Only this one doesn't. This is taking up a lot of time (for all of us) ...

You are getting an error when setting the new password because your password can only contain letters, numbers and underscores. Anything else is rejected as a password.

Makes perfect sense to me. ;)

Aha! That did it, finally.
Now I see this is documented in your support info, which lists the allowed set of special characters. Ok, the ! I was using is not allowed, even though I have used it in other passwords. The "good list" doesn't include underscores, either.
Thank you for your help.
