Am I able to delete my club website and start over from scratch? Our club is a closed club and due to the number of uploads to the site, we have all been blocked from accessing it at work. However, I can access my other club's website from work.

I thought if I could delete the site and start over, we'd be able to access it.

Thanks.

DJ

Correct. We can all access it from outside of work. However, members want to access it from work. We have been blocked by work for this site. I thought if we started from scratch it would allow us access. Would the URL be the same?

We are still unable to access the website from work. It has been blocked by IT security. They will not unblock it.
My fault. I uploaded too much information at once. It is the URL as I can access my other club www.kvtm.toastmastersclubs.org from work. Is it possible to have a new URL assigned? If so, would I need to start the website over from scratch? While members can access the site from their phone or PC/laptop, it would be advantageous to be able to access it from work as well.

Thank you.

1) do not use www

2) 1468.toastmastersclubs.org/ works correctly when adding images do not use http://

3) kvtm.toastmastersclubs.org/ works correct as your alias to your site.

If you are sure that it's the URL and not something else causing the problem, you could change the website See alias.support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/website-alias

Yes. KVTM I have no issue with at work. It is Dirigo's website. Sorry for the confusion.

I cannot access Dirigo website with the alias dirigo.toastmastersclubs.org - or - 1117322.toastmastersclubs.org

I can access it from home, my phone, laptop, etc.

I work at a bank. IT security is not going to re-grant access to this particular URL.

If you were to change dirigo.toastmastersclubs.org to a different alias, let's say (rather fancifully) anothername.toastmastersclubs.org, would that still be blocked?

Changing the alias is easy and takes effect immediately, so if that would make a difference, it is an option.

Note that even if a club had its website taken down, and later decided to get a new one, it would still have the same club number. Names can change, but club numbers don't, which is why the number is used as a base identifier.

There is nothing we can do for you.

You have dirigo.toastmastersclubs.org - or - 1117322.toastmastersclubs.org

You can change your a;ias or you can purchase a custom domain from a registrar,

You always have the choice of doing the work from home or using your own Cell Data instead of using your companies IT infrastructure.

Our club is a closed club

If it is a closed club, then all of this is sort of a moot point, because sooner or later we will completely delete the website. We just do not keep websites around indefinitely for suspended and closed clubs.

If you have content on this website for this closed club that you want to keep, then you need to remove it asap.

I would have read, in this case, "closed" as meaning not "open" or "community".
