I requested help in November on domain forwarding, but I think we were talking past each other. The help at this link is exactly what I'm trying to do, but it's not working for me. (support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/dns-settings-overview)

From the support text:

"For example, if someone types in www.myclubdomain.org to get to your club's website, the request actually goes to your registrar *first* that you registered the custom domain name with, and then the registrar uses the DNS records that you entered to figure out how to direct that person's computer to the proper web server to show the web page. In this case, that server would be the FreeToastHost server."

I want users that type in my domain of "www.ccbtoastmasters.com" to be directed to FTH at "ccb.toastmastersclubs.org"

Attached is a screenshot of the blanks I need to fill in. I entered the IP/Name, but I don't know what the "Answer" field is all about. Any help would be appreciated.

Technically, that is incorrect... one does not forward to the other. They are two different, independent paths to the server to load your website.

The server's IP address ( 50.19.253.65 ) is what is needed for the field in the posted image. That is in the support doc. (Brian and I wrote that doc.)

The way to think about the DNS records are that they are essentially "directions" for your registrar to tell it how to direct people and email for your website. The end destination is an IP address, analogous to a street address for the internet, in this case the IP address is the FTH server.

After entering the IP, the next field is requiring an entry for "Answer" but I don't know what that is referring to.

No, answer is the IP address, at least for the A records.
ADD 3 A Records:
A ccbtoastmasters.com 50.19.253.65
A www. ccbtoastmasters.com 50.19.253.65
A mail.ccbtoastmasters.com 50.19.253.65

ADD 1 MX Record
MX ccbtoastmasters.com mail.ccbtoastmasters.com Priority=10

Thanks, the system took those. Now I'll need to wait a couple to 24 hours to see if all is well?

Yes.

Hey, can you do me a favor and change the TTL entry for the MX record back to 300? I goofed in what I told you before... the priority for MS was supposed to be 10, not TTL. (oops)

Also, you need to add these A records:

A www. ccbtoastmasters.com 50.19.253.65
A mail.ccbtoastmasters.com 50.19.253.65

Ok, www.ccbtoastmasters.com/ is working for me now.

However, make sure you set the missing A records I mentioned... Also, test email by sending an email to your own officer alias using the custom domain.
