I would like to make my website look a little more impressive. Currently, I converted the PDF to a JPEG and loaded it onto a page that I can send the viewer to. How can I make a pop-up window to display the PDF?

Right now I have a link from here: nwa.toastmastersclubs.org/MELE_North_2017_Presentations.html (the MELE Agenda link)
That takes me to here: nwa.toastmastersclubs.org/MELE_North_2017_agenda.html

But ideally, I would like it displayed in a pop-up for viewing and then allow it to be downloaded it the viewer wants it.

Thank you for your help!

Lia

Try something like the following (in Source View):

<a class="linkButton" href="my_pdf_file.pdf?iframe=true&width=100%&height=100%" rel="prettyPhoto[iframes]">Open PDF</a>

If you do not want a button, then ditch the linkButton class, and put the thumbnail img in for the Open PDF.

Hold on... I fibbed... very sorry. :oops: I forgot that PrettyPhoto is not exposed for end users (I use it... I will have to make it available in the future.)

Put the following format in your link:
href="http://#####.toastmastersclubs.org/jdownload.cgi?action=inline&path=my_pdf_file.pdf"

The #### is your club number or alias... can also use the custom domain format if you wish.

The "secret sauce" for this is the "action=inline" vs the normal "action=download". That forces your browser to put the PDF in a window.
