When ever a role is dropped from an agenda the VPE and President are informed; however if a member drops a role using the email agenda then there are no notifications. Does thius occur if the member use the "mailto" option in his/her profile ? Thanks.

Steve I was just thinking of a way to get around the fact that notifications are not sent out when a roles is dropped on the email agenda. It means we have to keep checking the agenda for last minute drop outs. For instance here is what happened today on our website.
a. The final email agenda for our weekly meeting at 6:30 PM ,was mailed to this morning to all of our members by our VPE.
b. The personwho had signed up for the GE role dropped the role (presumably on the email agenda copy) some time later in the day but none of us were notified.
c. I checked the website agenda aabout 3 hrs before the metting, noticed that the GE role had been dropped and asked another member if he would take on the GE role. Luckily he agreed to take on the role, otherwise we could have been stuck at the meeting.

I have noticed that dropped roles don't get notified if they are dropped close to the time of the meeting. I've not worked out exactly what the timeframe is, but it's less than 24 hours. I've noticed it with roles dropped from the website - no experience with roles dropped from the agenda yet.

So the notifications issue for mailto links in emailed agendas is a known issue... (not just for dropped roles)

It is a thorny code integration issue where I have to sort out how to share the notification routine with the list server without creating a whole litany of code dependency issues.

That is why it is not currently working for mailto's... I have not gotten it sorted out yet. I beg your patience... I will get it sorted out... (I am determined.)

Notifications for the mailto flavor of the agenda email response links should be working now.
