The Domain name associated with the Club that I am FTH administrator for has expired. The owner has not been a Toastmasters for a few years and apparently has gotten tired of renewing it. The club has very willingly repaid the fee and has offered to provide information to transfer the ownership, but to no avail.

The club involved is 9715 -- Leawood Toastmasters. I'm sure a standard alias exists (9715.toastmastersclubs.org), but it does no good if the domain name isn't working.

Is there anyway that a FTH administrator can go into the alias record and remove the domain name in the source code for the website code itself?

I'm told that the domain name will become available for purchase in a couple of weeks but waiting for that to happen seems a little risky.

Just go into the admin console enter a free website alias and remove the domain name.

You will get logged out when you do this, and you will need to use your website alias to get logged back in.

Note that this will affect all your FTH email addresses, as well... keep that in mind.

Thank you for your quick reply, but I don't think you understand the situation.

Until the fees get paid for the domain name, no one can access the website at all. In order to make that change, the website must be available.

There must be a way that someone with far more access/authority than myself can go into the HTML or whatever code is used for the website itself and remove the value for the domain name.

FYI -- I tried removing the Domain name a year ago following the instructions available through the "How To Use" section without success.

You can *always* access your website via your clubnumber ... it is built into the system design.
