the emails are being sent to Brian, I just send one again and I can see it in the email logs it was delivered. have him check in his spam box.

Hi, Laurie!!!

Is it possible that the member who got the reset request did in fact try to log in, right around the time that you got the request notification?

I know that I occasionally will absent-mindedly try to log into some site, but forget to enter my password (I can get away with blaming it on my age...) If the member you're referring to happened to make this same mistake when trying to log in, it would have triggered the message you got, and completely innocently. I also get these from time to time for a couple members in my club.

Another possibility: a password reset can be requested by anyone on the internet. All they need is a few letters of a name (or a guess), and the reset request is sent. Reset messages like this usually say "if you didn't request this, just ignore it, no reset will be performed."

This probably doesn't happen often, especially for a Toastmasters site, but it's easy.
