I am having the same problem as ptamhankar with blank lines being added when I edit any page. support.toastmastersclubs.org/4-general-...to-report-this#60402 I tried deleting the extra lines but they keep coming back.

The editor is not a true word processor, as much as it may seem like one. It is an html editor and some things are a bit different in the html world. Even if you use the main competitor (TinyMCE) to the HTML editor we use (CKEditor), you will find it has the same behavior as the editor we use... see www.tinymce.com/ for example. Again, this is an html editor, not a word processor, so you may want to learn a bit about html.

When you hit the enter key, you insert a new paragraph, <p>, which has special significance (like extra spacing) in html. If you press enter several times in succession, yeah, you will get extra blank lines. Each enter press creates a paragraph with leading and trailing spacing. (as is typical for html)

If you want a single line break, use Shift+Enter, which puts a <br/> in the html code. (line break)
