When I log in as a member and sign up for a position and save, it doesn't update the agenda on the public site home page. I became president recently, and now have access to the admin area. I tested the problem by signing up for a position for the next meeting and saving, then logging out. I logged in as admin, and the changes were in fact saved. The admin agenda shows my sign-up. But again, when I log out, the public page shows no changes.

I undid all my changes related to this test because I didn't want to leave the mess behind. Feel free to play around with it, or let me know and I can sign up again and leave it for you to see the discrepancies.

1) we need your club number to check anything.

2) the is no public version of the agenda, you need to be logged in as a member to see the agenda.

Some one from your club does that manually, that is not part of the Agenda system.

I've been quite confused, but am piecing things together.

Wesley Sweitzer, immediate past president and the one who continues to update the agenda weekly, said he has to update the agenda twice.

The first update is through the Meeting Agendas link (see attached).

The second is by clicking on the Edit This Page (second attachment). It takes you to a page that looks like it was manually created (see third attachment). This is the page that publishes to the home page.

You said, "The agenda doesn't appear on the home page." Maybe someone cobbled together a solution to show the agenda, but it was a manually created page, doesn't link to the agenda system, and therefore doesn't update when the agenda updates. Is that correct?

If that is true, what do most other clubs do? Maybe not publish an agenda on the home page, but members know to use the Meeting Agendas link? Then in that space where our agenda is, what do people do? Maybe publish the club photo, or maybe some promotional material?

It looks to me like the Member-login sign-up-for-a-position links dynamically to the Admin-login assign-people-to-positions. So we don't really need that home page agenda at all. All we have to do is tell members to log in and click on the Meeting Agendas link, and everything updates there dynamically. Then it's up to the Admin simply to push it out to the membership by email. Correct?

I think most clubs publish their agendas through email via the Email Agenda feature... That feature has a lot of nice functionality in it to make your lives easier. ;)

Most clubs do not put their agendas out on a public page since some members may not want their names published publicly.
