Hi,
Our club occasionally has to change the meeting location and I like to use the floating message on our web site to notify members and (more importantly) visitors that our venue has changed. I've done this many times in the past and it's worked fine. But today it is behaving strangely. I gave up and put the message in the text of our home page, but now a blank floating message appears. What's up with that?

I attached a screen shot.

Our site: countyspeak.toastmastersclubs.org/
Club: 1196181

Thanks!
-Derrick Stumpf, County Speak Toastmasters Webmaster.

Derrick,

I can add a floater message without issue. Scroll to the bottom of your screen and click on the reload link and try to place a message in the floater messages again.

OP:

Please do not use your email address as your user name for these publicly viewable forums. (unwise)

You have table tags in your floater content, which will break the floater structure as you see. If you copy and paste from a table into the floater, then you need to make sure you are not copying over the table tags or other tags that will break the floater structure. Copy the html to a text editor and then paste from there... it will strip out the html tags.

Thank you so much!
Indeed, I was cutting and pasting text from the VPE's meeting schedule and I must have picked up some unseen formatting characters in the process. Then, I couldn't delete them. I'll be more careful next time.
