Recently our club has not been able to access our website. When we type in: caring communicators.org we get a message that reads: This website may be impersonating "50.19.253.65" to steal your personal or financial information. You should go back to the previous page.
I contacted godaddy, where we purchased our domain name (and just renewed) and they said it is a problem with the host company. The godaddy rep read the host # that it was pointing to and it is the correct number (as noted above). Can you help? Thanks!

carringcommunicators.org domain is not setup correctly. You need to site the DNS at the registrar please see these instructions.
support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/dns-settings-overview

your website is 1034215.toastmastersclubs.org and there is nothing wrong with it.

I'm not sure I understand... we have had that website for 3-4 years now and suddenly it is not set up correctly? Was your reference to solving the problem if we went through Toastmasters to get to our website? We have our own domain name and set it up to go directly to it rather than through the Toastmasters Int. website.

Has something changed in the last 2-3 weeks that would make us need to change the setup?

You are using some sort of domain forwarding to the IP address and that is incorrect, someone updated your DNS on Updated Date: 2017-12-20T21:51:23Z

the DNS A record is incorrect
caringcommunicators.org. 599 IN A 50.63.202.8

There is no A record for the MX

Please read and follow the instructions for setting up your DNS
support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/dns-settings-overview

Wendy, we run into this periodically.

Just because you managed to get your website to function and be accessible in the past does not mean it was necessarily set up correctly. :pinch:

If your club has used domain forwarding in the past to access your website (as Brian mentions), you would be able to access your website, but not use your custom domain w/ FTH email addresses (all would have to be club number based w/ toastmastersclubs.org domain), and you will have issues if your members want to use https for secure access to your website.

In this case the error message you mention in the original post is *not* a FreeToastHost generated error message (I know--I create those). Therefore, if anything has changed it is likely in the browser that you are using or your domain name registrar.

Browser security has been getting stricter over the last few years... I suspect that your browser or other security software is now flagging something it was not in the past.
