For about the last 3 months, I have been working with the maintenance developer of the pop-up checklist widget that we use throughout FreeToastHost. This widget enables us to easily create and change groups of people, roles, and the like.

The widget has been updated in many very subtle ways and one very obvious way. You will now see in many of the pop-ups the addition of a Filter box where you can enter letters, words and/or phrases to search the list for. The matches are shown and the unmatched items are then hidden. This makes it much easier to find things in long lists in these pop-ups. Clubs with lots of members should benefit from this. Additionally, you will also see that I have deployed a single selection version of this pop-up w/ the filter for the speech project drop-down. Again, the filter should help to find the project you are looking for.

(1) I am unable to change the speech designation for our 3rd speaker on the 4/3/18 agenda. He gave speech #8 from the CC manual.

Yeah, I got some push-back from Brian on that one, so I had to reverse it... Sorry! He has some big concerns about that.

I was able to change this without any issues. Did you remember to click the Update button save the change?

Thank you for making the change. My problem was that the pop up disappears.

When I click the arrow a pop up screen appears and when I scroll my mouse down it disappears.

I clicked the print screen button to take this picture to show you what I’m seeing and then the pop up did not disappear and I would be able to make a change.

Choosing a project is more difficult now. First of all the filter textbox appears at the bottom of the screen. Then when I try to select a project, the dropdown list disappears. When I enter a keyword, I have to scroll down very carefully until the project I desire appears. When I select the desired project, the dropdown list goes away. That is non-intuitive for me. However, if I scroll down and allow the system to highlight my choice and select <RETURN>, I can select the desired project. It took a while for me to figure this out.

Please try clicking the reload link at the bottom of your screen.

I can revert this change for the project selections, but then the filter feature goes away.

It would help if you posted a screen capture so that I could see what you see. However, I disagree with some of your assertions, as the list is following normal conventions. When you select from a normal drop down, it "goes away" also.

If you want to scroll the list, you need to point your mouse inside the list... that is a normal convention also.

If you point your mouse outside the list, you will be scrolling the screen, not the list. Again, normal convention.

It appears to be working as I would expect now. It was not this morning. I will keep an eye on it. Thanks.

Wondering if you can correct the link in the initial pop-up announcement? It goes to a 404 page as shown. I copied and pasted the link 2x and both failed.

Awesome feature. The link was duplicated in the Admin notice. If you look carefully, you'll see http://...http://.. I copied and pasted just one of them to find the proper description.

FYI... I can add the filtering feature in wherever it makes sense. It is just one line of code to add it to a checklist.

Wonderful new feature! I noticed it the other day when i was helping someone update their speech information. Makes it so much easier than scrolling through all the possible projects. Kudos!
