For instance, if speaker 1 confirms their role, but speaker 2 doesn't, what is the impact (besides email traffic)?

As I understand it, the purpose is mainly the convenience of the Toastmasters or Chair, who knows who is coming to the meeting.

If speaker #2 doesn't confirm, then maybe the Toastmaster / Chair needs to do some follow-up.

It's entirely over to the club how they use this feature (if at all).
