With the move to Pathways, I was wondering if there is a way to setup federated authentication between my club's website and Toastmasters International, given how my members will often have to access both.

As we are not Toastmasters International we will never have access to their databases or private information about their members. In the worlds current move to total personal control of personal information there will be less access to personal information. Look at the hoops FTH has had to jump through and all we have is a name, email address and possibly phone number.

Federation would not require FTH to access their databases or private information about their members. It would simply require a handshake of trust between the organizations, such that they trust FTH as an identity provider, or vice versa (more likely).

They may not be willing, but it's worth reaching out to IT at TI to discuss. I would be happy to participate in that discussion, given that I'm a security consultant. OpenID Connect is another option.
