Thanks for the prompt response Steve.

For both of the new members, we did enter email addresses before sending the opt-in messages. That's why we're confused about the "NO EMAIL ADDRESS" message in the subject.

The links show "mid=00818465" and "mid=00818466". Let me know if you need any other information.

I can appreciate that sharing contact information requires consent (opt-in), but the latest change blocks us from adding a new member to the agenda as well.

Over here in China people don't use email much at all, so the VPE or other designated officer has to update the agenda and meeting attendance. Now we've lost that functionality as well, which means all our ability to maintain history is lost.
Is there no way to at least be able to update the agenda?

How long does it take to receive the email ? I was added to a club to TEST the system and it was TWO HOURS ago. When I tried the resend feature I see that whirling wheel that says to me...."I am trying to send it"

Here is a possibility... perhaps you entered the name without the email address, clicked save, then entered the email address, and clicked save again. In that scenario, the system would detect that you entered a new member w/o an email address on the first save. Do you think that is plausible?

A post without any specific details does not help us help you much... we need a name or something we can search for...

Then your admin will get the emails for people that do not have an email address and will have to click the link for them.

The GDPR procedures do not block you from doing anything, it requires all members to approve the use of the personal and private information. It is something they will have to do to use things such as Facebook, any google, Apple, Microsoft Product.

It is now the responsibility of the member to authorize the use of their information.

I regret that you think we are the heavies here, you need to consider a couple of things that are changing the way clubs function around the world.

1) Toastmasters International now requires EVERY member to have an email address so they can access Pathways.
2) the EU and the GDPR now requires EVERY company or web presence that has a EU citizen as a member to follow the GDPR regulations.

So I am sorry but all your members now require email addresses and they are required to authorize the use of their private information. This is not by our choice but we live in the new world and the regulations which must be followed.
