I am having the same problem. I have web site admin privileges and can make changes. However, when I try to change member status to [Former Member] and save, the change does NOT take place. I've tried this logged on as Site Admin. I've changed and saved it, no change apparent. I tried then doing the change/save and logout/login - no change. I tried clearing my cache and even going in with a different browser (started with Firefox, then used IE) and still no change. I have 11 members I need to change and can change none of them. What's the problem (yes, I did look at "Assign Officer, Guest, Former Member Status" and I have done this before).

Example - member record initially shows (not showing real information):

Firstname Lastname This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. phone-number-no-spaces

I change it to:

Firstname Lastname This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. phone-number-no-spaces [Former member]

It just isn't working. Did I miss something somewhere?
