Hi,

I am looking for ways to create a mailing list/table of the club members that agreed to be mentors.
From that created list/pool they'd be assigned to other members.

Currently, upon admin login, there is a way to assign a mentor using the "Your mentor in Your club" feature, but it shows all the members.
We're hoping to find a way to manage the mentors list (add/remove) on "as needed basis".

Please advise.

Best Regards,

See the following:

There are reports via the Membership Reports feature, also.

Well, if you are talking about a list that you can email to, the system creates mentors and mentees lists for you once you have assigned mentors to mentees. The system uses the assignments to generate the lists on the fly.

If you are looking for just a pool of possible mentors, then just create a custom group for that.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Now, I created the Custom Group: NSTM Mentors..

How this group can be managed: modified?

What would be a way to have it active (displayed the NSTM Mentors group list) when selecting the "Your mentor in Your club"

It did not create a new tab for the new group..

Regards,
Cezary Grabowski.

I would imagine that before assigning any mentor, the potential mentors need to provide consent and agree to be included in the list.
Only then they could be assigned to members.
Am I thinking reverse logic? :)

Would you be able to answer the questions included in the previous post?

I am aware of the mentors mailing lists:

Reference support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/custom-groups

How you use the feature is up to you. You can easily modify a custom group via the Custom Groups tab in Membership Management.

You certainly should have members permission to assign them as mentors. You can use getting CL credit as a motivator.

Note that the built-in mentor groups only work for those mentors that are assigned. If you have some that are not assigned they will not show up in the built in groups.

I guess, I am not sure of how the feature works - that 's why are these questions.. :)

What would be an email address of the newly created NSTM Mentors group, if any?

For the default lists, is it only including people already assigned as mentors/and those with assigned mentors?

The answers are all in the documentation you've been referred to and earlier replies.

Q1

An email address is automatically created for the group. It will be in the form

where "groupname" is the name of the group and nnnn stands for your club number.

For your groupname you could use something like mentorpool The email address would then be This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
