I have been apart of Mather Toastmasters (#2695) going on 4 years. I have held three different Club Officers posts; Treasurer (2015-2016), VP Ed (2016-2017), President (2017-2018). I have not had any problems posting to the membership until recently (first noticed on Thursday; 8/10).

Now, when I send post to the Membership, I get this MailDemon:
"Members (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) is not recognized as a valid FreeToastHost distribution list, officer alias, or group name. You cannot send email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. For more information on using FreeToastHost email addresses, visit support.toastmastersclubs.org."

Others in my club are successfully posting and I am receiving their posts. Also, I am able to post to the Officers successfully .... just, not the Membership. I have contacted my club Webmaster with this issue. He has tried rebuilding my profile but I am still receiving the MailDemon anytime I try to post to the Membership. What is my next step?

Thanks,
Darryl Good

With or without, I have been successfully sending email to the Membership for 3+ years. I do not fully type the email address because it automatically pops up after typing "mem". Typing in the full address, with or without the caps, does not make a difference, I still get the maildemon

Thanks,

Yeah, but your email app will cache the address and re-use what you entered previously. Brian is correct; it *is* case sensitive. I am the current system developer, and I will go w/ Brian on this.

Besides, I have reviewed the email logs, and I have verified that you were using lower case before when your email was successfully sent.

So, please take Brian's direction, and fix the email address you are using.

As a follow up, I have forced my email to use the lower case as suggested. I have successfully posted to my club members. My apologies for the earlier assumption that the cache would stay the same (i.e. if it worked before it should be working now).

Thanks,

Refer to support.toastmastersclubs.org/5-support-...n-addresses-bouncing

Case sensitivity should be removed now.
