You can now specify your preferred time and date formats for your locale and the system will try to use them whenever possible. There is one time format, a short date format, and a long date format that you can specify. The long date format will be used where there is sufficient space and it makes sense (to me)... Otherwise the short date format will be used.

NOTE: I have not yet gotten these date formats to work with the full screen calendar. The calendar uses a different time and date formatting scheme that is going to take some additional effort to allow for specifying formats. Please be patient--I will get to it.

The new settings for the formats are located on the bottom of the Website Settings module / Basic Settings tab. Please see the following:

NOTE: The 24 hour time format setting for the agenda will be eliminated very soon. As of this change, it is being ignored. Please set the 24 hour time format instead.

Tips:

1. If you hover your mouse over an item in the drop-downs of available formats, you will see a descriptive tool tip shown.

2. I can add additional formats, as it makes sense. If you think I am missing a format in one of the drop-downs, let me know.

3. You will find that these formats are considered in quite a few areas. (e.g., even in meeting reports saved to Excel files) I created a large checklist to make sure I covered everything. However, it is still possible I missed something (other than the full screen calendar as noted above)... If you think I missed something, let us know.

Ok, I believe I now have the selected time and date formats working with the full screen calendar, also. B)

It took a little bit of creativity on my part to figure out how to convert date formats from the drop-downs into the scheme used by the full screen calendar, and do that conversion on the fly. I think I have it working correctly, but if anyone sees anything amiss, please let us know. ;)

In some cases with the full screen calendar, I have had to generate a variation of whatever format you selected in the drop-downs. For example, for the month view, it is only supposed to show a month name and a year in the title, so I have to drop the day from whatever format you select to create the proper format for that view.

I have also installed the library update for the full screen calendar, as well.
