I wondered whether you could allow "positions" to be assigned roles instead of just members. I'm thinking Area Director, Division Director, Toastmaster Guest.

Only members can be assigned to the agenda.
Many clubs create a member called Guest with no email address to use in those cases.

You can also create a new member as Area Director or Division Director and not put an email address...
