Me again, struggling to create a raft of agendas for the coming 6 months. Yet, when I follow the FTH process, which is:

To create a named template from a dated agenda, select the agenda, select the pencil icon, go to the agenda setup tab and save the agenda item as a template. You can choose to add a new template or overwrite an existing template...

....but what is produced is an agenda which is largely empty of speakers, evaluators, etc.... looks like the attached file, without the usual roles from which they can self-select. In other words, it forces you to build an agenda from scratch. What am I missing?
Cheers!

I'm not sure what you've done, but you have a few "empty" named templates (currently 1, 2, 3 & 7). I suggest you delete those.

If you use a dated agenda that has no roles as a template, the new dated agenda will also have no roles.

Make sure you use a "good" dated agenda to save as a named template, then use that template to create new agendas (or you can use an existing agenda as a template too).

Take a look at how to use repeated and group role notation too - you need those set up correctly for accurate role reports

good Karma! Thanks. One more puzzle: at what point can I change the new agenda's date to the intended future meeting date? It seemed that when I changed the existing agenda's date I lost the detail below (as you saw; I deleted those empty files).
Cheers!

Typically you would create a new agenda with the actual date. If you change the date of an existing agenda, the original is lost (unless you correct the date and make no other changes).

To create a new agenda click on the "+" icon near the top of the current agenda. In the Meeting Setup tab choose the date for the agenda, then choose a template (which can be a named template or an existing dated agenda) to base this dated agenda on.

The templates in the Agenda Settings module are just (named) templates, they never become dated agendas (even if you use a date as the name)

As an example - I have named templates for: 4 Speaker meeting, 3 Speaker & Business Meeting, Speechathon, and a few for contests.
When I create my dated agendas I select the appropriate template, which is copied to make a new dated agenda.

If all of your agendas are the same, you would only need one template, your dated agendas would all be copied from that

(The system is actually smarter than that, but that is "lesson 1", which should get you going

I suggest you read through the documentation again: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/agenda-index

You're the best. You know how difficult it is to write complex minutia with clarity? :woohoo:

Thanks a zillion. Only a million wouldn't cut it.
