Functionary Roles and CL Projects

Hello~

First time poster, here. I do not see any previous discussions about this matter so I would like to know if there is a way to designate on the agenda sign up page, which CL project a member is completing by fulfilling a functionary role?

For example, when a member signs up to give a speech, there is the drop down menu for selecting which manual and speech the member is completing. However, when signing up for a functionary role, there is no similar designation. As the VPE, I am having a hard time getting members to understand that the roles are part of projects in the CL manual. So, if each role (Toastmaster/Timer/Grammarian, etc.) had a drop down menu to designate "Project 1: Listening and Leadership" or "Project 5: Planning and Implementation" it might help them to select roles that fulfill the requirements for the projects.

As frequently as I can, I remind the members to select roles that fulfill requirements for CL projects, but invariably, after a meeting, when I ask the functionaries for which project they want credit, I'm met with silence. So, any tool that might reinforce this concept would be greatly appreciated. Is this possible?

Thanks,

First, a huge THANK YOU to this team for all you do...and for all the timely help the team members here have give me recently. :)

Much appreciated!

When I saw this post, I wondered if perhaps there were already something that had been rolled out and I simply missed seeing what had already been done. Then WHQ's uncertainty about the actual date of the REP rollout and how that would have an impact on you folks dawned on me...

Best,

We know nothing about the REP, we have not been told a single thing to get ready for the rollout of the REP.

Once TI decides what and when the REP is we will know just like you.

Remember we are just ordinary Toastmasters who volenteer to make this service happen, we have no official status with TI other than we are all Toastmasters

Brian and all,

I understand that completely, and have known all along the complete separation of the FTH volunteers from WHQ staff. It is no secret that from a management viewpoint, WHQ's REP has not been handled well. Had WHQ thought about it seriously, they would have recruited *several* FTH staff and included FTH staff in discussions so that FTH would not be left hung out to dry until the last minute. That's no fault of FTH at all.

It's WHQ's lack of appreciation for the level of effort that goes into the development and maintaining of the FTH sites.

As for you folks being "ordinary," ---not a chance! This FTH team is EXTRAORDINARY!
