Best Practice requested for Top Toastmasters calculation

Locked 4 replies · 197 views

I've noticed that those who do roles such as SAA that appear multiple times in the agenda have high points in Top Toastmasters=13pxIs this driven by the individual having multiple assignments on the agenda?Should we be going in and modifying the template to "Exclude from history / accomplishment reports" for those agenda items which end up having a person referenced multiple times.  I'm guessing it should only be counted  for the first reference.

I noticed that table topics has that kind of setup.  The table topics is included, but the ribbon presentation is excluded

Note: I did read the guide, but, couldn't confirm that the exclusion was specifically for Top Toastmasters, or how that count was determined.

ps.  curious why we couldn't record that on profile so you didn't have to have us enter it each time?

You can put name and club on your forum profile, look at the top of the forum and see the grey tab "profile"

Log in as the ClubAdmin and look at the Recognition & Points card. it will show you what your club is using as points. The points can be changed to how ever a club would like. Yes you can change the roles not to be included in the points. It would be a good idea to document how your club decides to run the points.

I logged in as club admin.   I changed the points for other role to "0", saved, recalculated, and that reduced the points for the SAA and others that had repeats.  So, that is good.
I then tried to do a true-up, as some still seemed high.

I decided to run the report for September.
I looked at one person who has 16 points.  I ran the role report for same period, and I calc'd 14 points.
The one thing not on the report is "attendance".
Put attendance at 0 points, and it turned his points to 14.

It would be helpful to either have a points report, showing how the points are being calculated or being able to click on the person's id to see their points.
