Hello, Club 4039 (ee.toastmastersclubs.org). Two questions. (1) Our pages carry
<meta name="robots" content="index,nofollow,noimageindex">
. Is that intentional for all club sites, and is there a setting where we can change it to
index,follow
? We would like our pages and photos to be discoverable in Google and Bing. (2)
https://ee.toastmastersclubs.org/sitemap.xml
returns a 404. Does FTH4 generate a sitemap for club sites, and if so, where? Thank you.

1) Unless you have written releases from all your members and visitors you don't want your pictures indexed.

2) FTH does not supply or allow sitemaps.

3) we removed the nofollow

Hi Brian — thank you, that answers the original questions. Two follow-ups:

1. Robots tag: you mentioned the nofollow was removed — could you confirm what the meta robots tag on club pages looks like now? (It was index, nofollow, noimageindex.)
2. Photo indexing: on the releases point — are club photos now being picked up by search engines? Practically, should clubs collect written releases for meeting photos, or is there a way to keep images out of the index?

And the platform-level request still stands:

1. Allowlist AI crawler user agents on toastmastersclubs.org — GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, and similar — so AI search tools can read club sites the way Google and Bing now can.
2. Consider platform-level structured data (Organization schema with the club's name, meeting time, and address) injected into club pages, since FTH4 strips

This would make every FTH club website visible in AI search, not just ours.

Thanks,

We allow search bots that behave themselves and many don't.
We also will determine what can be searched by search bots.
FreeToastHost has a limited amount of resources and we will determine where they are spent.
