Adding a Former member (or other guest) to the agenda? 7 years 6 months ago #58941

What is the "best" (quickest, easiest) way to add a guest speaker to the agenda?
I have been adding guests under my name, with their name in the subject line, but wondered if there is a way to have their name shown?

I didn't see anything in the help docs on this topic.

Thanks,

George

That is not a great solution if you are printing the agenda from the website itself. It doesn't look good for the guest speaker to just see "guest" instead of their own name.

Here's the solution . . .

Update the agenda functionality that will allow the ability to assign the role of speaker to a guest.

You input the guest speaker as a guest of the club using Membership Management . . . as you would any other guest. When assigning the role of speaker, have the option to 'Assign Guest'. When you select that option, it gives you a list of the guests that you have entered into membership management. You can then select the name of the correct guest so that their name appears on the agenda when you view it online and when you print it.

Sorry that is not part of the functionality of the FTH Agenda, if you would like to make that suggestion i will move your comments to the Suggestion forum.
