Helping out again with Quest 4643. Some of our members aren't showing up in this page even though their bio is set to Public. For instance, Lisa Kaul, our President doesn't show up as well as three of the officers and several of the members. Am I missing a setting?

Yes, Brian, she is now the first one, but she wasn’t when I made the post. I asked her if she did anything to her profile (I sent her an email about it) and she said she clicked on No (make profile public), saved it, then clicked on Yes and saved it again. Voila, she’s on the Meet our members page. I tried it for Doug and Gina and they both appeared, where they hadn’t been there before.

Then I saw that Valencia’s (1670) VPPR wasn’t on the Meet page. I saved his profile with a No, then a Yes and HE appeared on the page.

By default, all members should show on the Meet page UNLESS they’ve selected No on Make your profile public, correct?

Here’s something you can use as an example. On the Quest site, Ali (secretary) is set to Yes, but he doesn’t show up in the Meet page. Try following my method and see if he shows up. If confirmed, this would be a bug in need of fixing.

Marc:

By default, no members show up until the Public setting is set to Yes. It is No by default for privacy considerations.

Unfortunately, the Public setting is confusing in the profile... hard to tell if it is set to Yes or No. (I don't like it.)

I will probably end up changing it to a check box or radio button in the future.

Steve, I agree that changing the selection to a radio button (an 'or' selection) would be easier to understand.

The state of the button is hard to discern because of its response. By default No is blue meaning selected, however if I want to change it to Yes, I have to click No. That behavior is odd.

P. S. I've tried testing the system by creating a new user on 1670 called atester and setting the button to Yes, but when I save the profile, exit and come back in, I can see the Yes lit blue for a split second before it switches back to No! Another thing that's weird. I looked at Mindy, our president. Her profile shows No, but her picture is in the Meet page! (You have to squint a little, but it's there.)

Brian, I've never had to do that on any changes I've made but more importantly. I was mistaken about the default state of the button and that has been cleared that up.

I just looked at your screen capture, and I have to say that just looking at it, I cannot easily say if it is set to Yes or No. :pinch: (drives me nuts)

When it is blue, it is selected. This is the default as you said.

The behavior is wrong, though, and I believe that makes it even harder..
