Hi,

We come not to paste images on the “Main Content” at “Home” and “Meeting Information / Directions” (though we could have done these operations at first.)

On the face of the “admin-console”, we can copy and paste images, save them, and close the toolbox. However, the changes do not appear on the original site. When we come back to the admin-console, we find that the updates are not reflected even on the working spaces.

Even worse, an irrelevant text (the same massage as the disclaimer written on the site) appears instead of the pasted pictures especially on “Meeting Information / Directions”.

We have closed / re-opened the browser and log-out / log-in again, but it didn’t work.

Could anybody help? Thank you very much.

1. Please indicate your club number in every post so that we will have the information we need to visit your web site ourselves and inspect your issue if needed. You can save yourself time if you just put your club number in your forum signature for this support site... see my forum signature below for a link that takes you to where you can set your forum signature.

2. Sometimes you must clear your browser cache for the changes to take effect, even after you click on Save in the editor. This is particularly so when dealing with images. This is because your browser saves the prior state of web pages in the browser cache that you have visited in order to speed up redrawing those pages when you visit again. When you do the changes in the editor, the browser does not necessarily know that it needs to throw away the contents of the cache, so sometimes it can appear as though the changes you made did not "take" even when you click on Save.

If you can tell us what browser (name and revision number) you are using, then we can provide guidance on clearing your browser cache.

I could erase browser cache from my Firefox 14.0.1 successfully, but unfortunately it didn’t help solving the trouble.
I will try some other approach. If you have any additional ideas, that will be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Toshio,

I do not see any pictures saved in your image library. Did you upload pictures and send them to the server?

Look at this link support.toastmastersclubs.org/html-editor/ and choose How do you insert your own images?

Roger, Brian,
It worked as I went back to basics (i.e. following the way written on FAQ).
(I hadn’t followed the method as simple copy-and-paste had worked at the very beginning somehow…)
Thank you very much !!
