Hello,

My name is Ony Nwankpa, President of Traffic Toastmasters, Club 2286. My VP of ED is having a hard time using the group email addresses to send out messages. In an email attempt on Sept.20th to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. she received the response from the server below, indicating she does not have rights to email the group. However at that time her email configuration was set to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. after an earlier complaint about not being able to email the group with the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. address. Even after updating her email to back to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., the email address replied to in the response from the server, she still cannot send messages using the group email addresses.

I have asked her to update her profile to include both the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (primary) and the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (backup) and she continues to have issues. I even sent a test email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and both work fine for me.

Can you please assist?

I will let her know not to put in group email in the cc or bcc box, that using the group email account acts to protect member addresses. As far as the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. address, I believe that is the email address the system assigned to her, after I followed the advice of a FTH posting to remove the address after the member updates their profile on FTH, assuming the system would assign one of the emails as a default.

I guess the system defaults to noemail or my VPED attempted to email without updating her profile.

I will let you know if the issue has been resolved.

It works, thanks for your help. She states she believes it was the "." (period) in between her names that was causing the problems. This has been educational for sure, either way, I am glad she is up and running.
