Pound # symbol in agenda template causing role numbers to always be "1"
I created a new agenda template for after June 30, and basically cloned what we already had.
The "Role / Agenda Item Title" for our three speakers is like this...
11. Speaker #1
12. Speaker #2
13. Speaker #3
But I have found that the # causes each of them to revert to #1 in the template. Like so...
11. Speaker #1
12. Speaker #1
13. Speaker #1
The same thing happens with our three evaluators. If I remove the # then it allows me to increment the number as expected, but the instructions in the template editor indicate I should be using the #.
Roles requiring more than one member should include the "#" followed by a number, so the system will treat this as the same role in the role reports. Example, "Speaker #1", and "Speaker #2".
Thanks for your help,

Have you tried clicking the reload link at the bottom of your screen just in case you are running an outdated copy of the Javascript code?
If that does not resolve the issue for you, then I will need your browser details (which and which version), and some more specifics (e.g. step by step) on what you did so that I can try to reproduce the issue (to fix it if need be). At this point, I have not been able to reproduce it.
The Meeting sign up sheet only shows Evaluator #1 and not Evaluator 2, 3 etc and the speakers are listed as speaker #4, #3, #1 and #2.
I have started receiving the following email after every time I log in as the admin. The first time I received this email I changed my password. I have been using the same computer to go in and I have not shared my password. “Someone just logged in to the Castro Valley Toastmasters 961 Friendly Supportive Environment (Club 961) website using your registered admin log in credentials. You are receiving this email because the log in occurred using an unrecognized device or IP address for you by your club's website.”
I did try reloading and this did not resolve the issue.

Have tried in IE 11 and FF 60.0.1 with no difference. Have tried the reload link as well as CTL-F5.
When editing the agenda templates or the agendas themselves, it retains the #1 regardless of if I put #2 or #3.
1) Launch admin console
2) Module: meeting agenda settings
3) Choose agenda template "2018 Jul Dec Agenda"
4) Scroll down and see the three speakers listed like this...
Speaker #1
Speaker #1
Speaker #1
5) Edit the 2nd item in the list and change it to Speaker #2, hit save.
Result: It's still Speaker #1.
If I remove the # then it lets me save it. This happens in the Admin console as well as when editing the live agendas.

If you had:
12. Speaker #1
12. Speaker #2 it would probably work
but because you have
12. Speaker #1
13. Speaker #2 , the system renumbers the first occurrence of 13. Speaker #2 to 13. Speaker #1
You can overcome that by removing the leading numbers, or remove the #numbers - you don't need both anyway.
If you remove the #numbers the auto renumbering won't work.
You can also remove the check from auto-renumbering at the top - I've done that to save your speech numbers as you expect them - I haven't changed the evaluator numbers.
By using the leading numbers for each role you are losing the intended feature of grouping all evaluators or speakers (and any other roles you use # with) in the role tally report - they are now separated by your leading numbers, so the report shows each numbered role in a separate column

Thanks Pam, it appears that the leading number is indeed what is causing the issue. I will remove the leading numbers and go on from there. I'm not sure I'd characterize it as "the right thing" but it's definitely involved.
I don't necessarily need the leading numbers. It's what I inherited at this club 4 years ago, and so I left it there so that people had a top to bottom numbering system on the agendas. It's what the club was used to when I joined and I saw no need to change a paradigm that had been established.
I should point out that this is the first time that I've run into this problem since I took over the webmaster role 4 years ago. Something in the code has changed that now stumbles on those leading numbers. Every six months I create a new agenda template, and this is the first time that I have run into the issue.
Thanks for your help!
