Are you getting value from the emailed agenda enhancements?

I have added another enhancement to the emailed agendas called the "Email Again" button. It is located to the right of the Print button.

Because the emailed agendas are only a static snapshot of the actual online agenda sent at a specific point in time, they can become "stale" and out of date with the actual agenda. This can result in some user frustration if they are trying to sign up via email for a role that someone else has already taken since the agenda email was originally sent.

The "Email Again" button enhancement is my solution for this situation. If the emailed agenda you are looking at is a few days old, you can immediately request an updated version be emailed to you by clicking the "Email Again" button. Note that while this does not require a login, it is sent to the person who the original email was sent to. If you forward the agenda to someone who then clicks the button, the email would be sent to you, not the person with the forwarded agenda. I can probably tweak this in the future by doing the MAILTO and abbreviated login in approach for this link button, but I thought I would like to get this enhancement out now and make improvements later.

Hi Steve, I agree with you that the email showing the agenda can become stale. Even though there may not be many changes, it's inevitable that a change will occur. I used to be able to send the email WITHOUT showing the agenda, but now if I click OMIT Agenda, nothing comes through on the email.

The reason I didn't show the agenda on the email is people would just look at the email and not click through on the link to either confirm their role or state their attendance. They would look at the email and didn't think further action was necessary. Either way, if that features doesn't return, I can live with that. But it is nice to encourage all members to click through to the agenda. IMHO

You're still doing a great job. Thank you.

Thanks for the heads up... I will take a look at this.

Thank you for this enhancement, Steve. However I do not see any button to enable viewing Pathway Resource PDF's on my emailed agenda. Am I missing something ? Thanks

The buttons should just show up for Pathways speeches in emailed agendas. Keep in mind though that they will not show unless a speaker has already selected a Pathways speech via the online agenda--if that has not yet happened, then no buttons show up. The server only takes information that has already been entered to figure out which PDFs to make the buttons link to.
