Hello Brian,

Our Kaiser Toastmaster club 8735 members are receiving multiple emails asking them to confirm if they are "Not a Member". These members are all paid/membership renewed active members. Is there a setting or config update needed in the Kaiser website? Could you please help us on the next steps to resolve this issue?

Copied a sample email below for your reference.

Thank you
Lakshmi

Hello,A "Not a Member" link was clicked in an email to request that Susan Wright be moved to Former Member status in the website for club 8735, Kaiser Toastmasters, Club #8735.If you clicked that link, then please also click the following link to confirm that your status should really be changed to Former Member status in the website: 8735.toastmastersclubs.org/?action=NotAM...qxVmfEJbIVveLL7c1fg$  If you did not click that link, then please just ignore or delete this email.(You may also want to discuss disabling the "Not a Member" links with your club website admin or discourage your members from forwarding emails.)Note that this only affects your status in the club 8735 website.  It does *not* affect your status with Toastmasters International--that is separate and different.>>> We apologize for requiring this extra step--it has become necessary due to problems caused by people clicking the "Not a Member" link in emails forwarded to them (not originally sent to them).Thank you for all that you have accomplished in Toastmasters and all that you have contributed to your club! The FreeToastHost Administration Team

I am a member of #9903 Jeffco Challengers and one of our members has also received this email today, 3-13-2024.  I am the VPE and had gone to check to see if a new member was in our Membership Management list.  I did not change anything, look at anything other than the screen it displayed. After that I sent an agenda email out to all the members. That was done at 10:43am CT. At 10:44am CT she received the following informationA "Not a Member" link was clicked in an email to request that xxxxx, ACS, ALB be moved to Former Member status in the website for club 9903, Jeffco Challengers.   (I xxx'd out her name, if you need it, please let me know)

The information in the Kaiser club topic is exactly what our member received.  This did happen to her a few months ago, and we had decided it was a fluke and dropped it.  Now that it has happened again, and I see other clubs are having the same thing, it looks like it is time to get this resolved.

I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you Kaiser Club for starting this topic.

Please try switching off the setting 'Add "Not a Member?" Links to Emails sent to Members via FreeToastHost.', at least until the problem is resolved.
The setting can be found on the Email security tab of the Email & Contact Forms Module

Note that some clubs seem to be reporting that this happens even with the setting off, but I'm hoping that is a separate issue

Thank you Pam.  I found that option and it was checked.  I have turned it off.  I had never paid any attention to there being a link for this at the bottom of our agenda.  I appreciate the quick reply.  If we have further problems, I will let you know.
