Hi,

What is the response time for dealing with this matter? I don't think the reply from Brian below is sufficient given the other comments. The problem is obviously quite urgent.

I think that Brian's reply is more than sufficient. We are aware of the urgency and are taking appropriate actions. We are not going to litigate every little action we take in these forums--*not* going to happen. We *do* care that you are being negatively impacted by the system operation. (That is not what we want.) However, we don't have the available *volunteer* time and manpower to both do public relations posts on here as well as actually deal with resolving the issues.

This week the email throughput has been very good... so that part of the tuning looks good. We are working on the website responsiveness part of it. It is a process of getting both the email throughput and the website responsiveness optimal and balanced... They are competing processes on the server. I am sorry that you feel that somehow we are not qualified to handle this... I guess all this time that the system has been working well, it must have been some IT gremlins taking care of things? Now where did those gremlins go?

What changed? spamd (Google it.) Also, a lot more clubs are using the system. Again, we are ultimately trying to make the system better for all of you despite all the negative comments and blow back we typically get whenever we make *any* change that people eventually thank us for.

I do apologize if we sound like we are jumping all over you all. I don't envy your position and I appreciate everything the site has offered to our club.

Likewise, please understand that we do not want you to feel like you cannot express your obvious frustration with how the system is performing. Remember, we are Toastmasters using the FreeToastHost system, too--it frustrates us also when it is not working well.

However, keep in mind that if we do not immediately respond to your frustration in your posts or do not respond to your satisfaction... it does *not* mean that we do not care or are ignoring you. (Please *do* post a message if you are having issues with the system.) In most cases, what it means is that we are scrambling to resolve the situation within the constraints of our normal work and life commitments, and we are choosing to focus on resolving the situation rather than posting a reply right away.

Tuesday 7/15 -- I am having slow response with fth websites today on all pages -- "waiting for ...".
Sometimes, the page can't be found at all: Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to ...

I am using Windows 8, IE, and have cleared my cache.
Other websites are responding normally.
