You do not have the right permissions to send an e-mail to the following e-mail address(es) from lsalt@copic.com:
guests-6354@toastmastersclubs.org

Be sure your "From" address in your e-mail client is the same as your address in your ToastmastersClubs.org member profile.

thank you

1) only officers can email the guests list.

2) you should not send to more than one list at a time.

thank you, brian, for answering this . . . as a follow-up, is this a new change? we have been utilizing the guest list to generate more awareness for about 6 months now and haven't had a bounce. i asked a similar question 6 months ago and got a different answer - it is reposted here.

thus non-officers have been using the guest distribution list and we have been using the cc: field.

regards,

michael

_______________

re the documentation, i see this re: lists and aliases

These lists and alias should be in the first entry in the To: of the email.

i would like to know

(1) if you include an list in the cc: field, is that ok as well or it just will ignore?

(2) is there any way to track if your message did go out? we add 'guests' of late trying to get more visitors and don't know if they receive the correspondence

thank you

michael

1. Does not need to be first item in to of email anymore. It is fine if it is CC.

2. We can check for you. Working on a way for clubs/districts to get a confirmation...

The requirement to send to the guest and formermembers has always required the sender to be an officer.

Remember sending unsolicited email to the guests and former members to frequently my get your email address flagged as spam.

thanks for the help. i will have to do some more research on this as something is amiss. maybe the TM's were not doing this so no bounceback was received. anyway, we only do this once a month and add a sentence on the bottom re: the emails and the manner to 'unsubscribe.' even though a manual process, we take care on this and process all that are received back (i have processed 2 so i know they were going out but maybe by an officer).

regards,

michael
