Check your guest list, then move her to members.

Hi Roger,
Maybe we are getting to the challenge.
The system only gives me access to current members in the select group drop down menu.
The old list did not transfer the former members and guests.
I would like to access those in the new system as well.

OK.

You should have a group of tabs in Membership Management. Members, Prospects, Guests, Former Members Friends/Affiliates, etc.

Click the Guest Tab, then check the box in front of the member you want to move. Then in the Membership Tools drop-down, click on Move to Members List

The Membership Tools drop down menu is context sensitive. It will enable only the items in the menu that are relevant for the currently selected tab. If you want to work with Guests, you need to select that tab first.

jesse Hodgdon, jesshodg@mind.net, 541-890-8833 is on your Guest list... Click that tab to find that person.

The system will not allow you to add someone who is already on one of your lists. Doing so would create duplicate data, which we strive to avoid. I will look at seeing if I can improving the error message to make it clearer what is going on.

Actually, you have prompted me to relook at the error message that is shown when someone already exists. The current error message does not tell you which tab to look at if someone already exists. (Does not say xyz already exists on Guest tab ... for example.)
