Membership Management

Recently we faced a strange problem in respect to Membership Management. Our VP-Membership being authorized by me (Site Administrator) deleted a member who left the company and the club for good. Once saved, the VP-Membership's own data was gone. Besides, his photo appeared in Sergeant at Arm's profile. Then I tried to delete another member. That affected deletion of one other member's record. I had no clue! Ultimately I had to re-enter the information lost and re-load the respective photos. Thus wasted some of my valuable time.

Please try to address it and advise accordingly.

This was a bug that has already been fixed. However, when you changed your member data, you likely killed your role history for the agendas for the affected members. If you had posted about the problem here first, I probably could have fixed the data issues for you.

There is a copy of your VPM's member data that is deleted (I have seen it) that is very likely the one associated with the agenda role history information. If you temporarily change your VPM's name and email address to something other than what is in the deleted version, you should be able to undelete the version that is associated with their role history and then delete the newer version you entered.

Likewise, if you deleted other member's information, you may want to consider carefully undeleting it so that they do not lose their agenda role history.

The software will not allow you to create a duplicate member when you undelete. If you undelete and it looks like there will be a duplicate, the software will modify the name and email address of the undeleted info to prevent a duplicate.
