Custom Domain Email Addresses

Thanks! That's worked. Think I missed it before.

Also, when I reply to emails from my gmail account - after they have been sent to the custom email - I want it to read as sent from the Toastmasters custom email address. I'm editing the 'send mail as' section in gmail and it is asking for an SMTP server username and password. Is this something that FreeToastHost provides?

Thanks.

To avoid getting FTH servers black-listed as sender of spam or excessive messages, we do not open our SMTP servers in this manner.

There are 2 things we can do in the Admin Console / Email Settings:
  • Prefix Subjects of Email - add short keywords letting members know this comes from the club list
  • Set "Recipient of Replies" - make the reply-to go back to the club list, delivered to everyone in the club list, like what Steve said earlier this thread
I believe this is what you want accomplished, short of masquerading the name of original sender.

Cheers!

What I'm trying to do is when I reply to someone's email to the custom email address 'hello@clydecommunicators' the return email address in their inbox will show as the custom email rather than the main email storage account 'clydecommunicators@gmail.com.

Will these steps enable this?

And is it any different if I have a custom domain? Would I potentially be connecting to their SMPT server instead?

Thanks again

No, as Ted is alluding to, there are reasons that we do not support this (and will not)...
