Hi,
Helping a fellow local TM with her desire to register for this forum. Relevant parts of the conversation below. She is from Vertex Toastmasters Guild (4543066).

I have been browsing the forums in the Free ToastHost 2 Support and Development website ... and have found some very useful info there. About a week ago, I registered so that I would be able to post on the forum. At the completion of registration, a message indicated that I would receive an email and would have to use the link in the email to activate my account.
I have not received that email. And I couldn’t find a way to request help without having an active account. Can you help me?

I wrote back, saying:
I'm not sure if this will work, but perhaps try the "Create an account" process again.

Browse to support.toastmastersclubs.org/ and under the "Login / Register" drop down menu select "Create an account." You will be prompted to enter a name, username, password and e-mail address before entering the Captcha data and optional "Web site" and "About Me" field data. It has been several years since I set up an account and I don't recall any difficulty doing so. If this does not work, I will post a support request message on your behalf. Let me know.

Her most recent reply:
I tried it with the same username and email, and got a message that the username is not available and the email is already in use or invalid. So then I tried it with a different username but still the same email (I only have one work email, and I do not want to use my personal email), and I got the message that the email is in use or invalid.

So if you could post a support request message, I would appreciate it.

The e-mail address she used is: margaret.hartwell@vertexinc.com
The username was: MHartwell
She used something different for the username the second time.

What can I share with her?

Tell her to look for the email in her spam/junk mail folder. Do an actual keyword search for the email...maybe use FreeToastHost as the keyword?

Yes, the email was in my Junk folder. Wish I'd thought of that!

My account is registered now and I'm all set. Thank you both for your help!

I can't say it any better than she did in her reply...

"Oh, duh. Yes, it’s in my Junk folder. I’m logged in now and I’m all set. Thanks very much for your help!"

Thanks, Steve.
