Meeting Agendas - difficulty for VPE to insert names in monthly agendas

Jeff,

Please update your club officer roles in Membership Management. Those are not updated automatically, and just because you are now the VPE, the system does not know that unless you "tell it" by updating the roles in Membership Management (MM). The system does assign certain privileges by officer role, but it only goes by whoever is assigned to those officer roles at the moment in MM.

Once you do that update, I believe the system will work as you expect.

Steve,

I updated the roles before I ran into this problem; I was given a suggestion by an Ambassador to review the TI/FTH posting about how the VPE or Admin can edit an agenda, and I attempted to do so, but am having trouble following the instruction on how to change the order of an agenda item (or insert a new agenda item). I want to create an item after the Word of Day section early in the meeting to allow for an AD Address (who is not a club member) and Officer Installation, an addition to the normal program, but can't figure it out. The mouse moving advice doesn't work for me- I tried to move one of the speaker roles up but couldn't figure out how to do so.

Thanks for any pointers.

Jeff

1. You are not listed as the VPE in Membership Management. As far as the system is concerned, you are not the VPE, Jill is. You need to review and fix that.

2. To reorder agenda items, the simplest thing to do is to click and drag on the agenda item time (at the left side) in the agenda editor (after you click the pencil). This is covered in our docs.

3. You cannot directly add people to your agenda that are not members... not supported. What most clubs do is to create a dummy member called {GUEST} (braces sort it to the bottom) and use that in the agenda for these situations. You can add the person's name to the item description.

The infomriton on Officer Roles is accurate. Jill is VPE, as these are updates that I made recently as the Admin. I am the Webmaster and was asked by Jill to assist her in making agenda changes/additions that she didn't know how to do. She wanted to make changes or assign roles for members who had not done so themselves or found it difficult for them to do on their own.

My apologies for my misunderstanding. As you are not a current officer of the club, then you will have to use the admin log-in to edit agendas if you are not assigned a meeting role that has edit rights.

You can edit agendas with the pencil button. It is pretty easy to assign roles for members in the editor. However, any more I tend to recommend using the Response Links in emailed agendas to stream line the whole process for members who do not want to log in to the website. Makes things way easier.

No problem. I have now added a role for an AD address and officer installation, and put it in the desired spot in the agenda time-wise.
I added a guest to the list of guests but need guidance on how to add a member position called "Guest" that can be assigned a meeting role.
