File manager names and folders disappeared

On the file manager, the names have been replaced by the original file names, and there are no folders. We had all our resources organized in folders and had renamed the files to easliy recognized names.
There are over 400 files in our file manager, it would be very difficult to restore all these names one by one.

I still have the original file names and no folders.
I even emptied the Safari cache.
Can the modified file names be restored?

Andreas, I only see a few file description files. I never touched those except for copying the contents into the db.

However, if someone clicked the save button in the File Manager that would have locked in the unmodified names. Did you click the Save button?

Andreas, we were able to restore your descriptions from a file backup and I have re-imported them.

Please confirm that things are ok again.

Sorry, I still have only original file names.
You should see folders such as "Minutes 2018", Minutes 20017" etc. with file names such as "Minutes of Meeting #999 .....
Yes i clicke on "save" because I imported one more file today. But the descriptions were not there when I first opened the file manager this morning.
The last time I opened the file manager with the correct descriptions was when I uploaded the file "BTM Minutes 1097.pdf" on June 19.
