Hello tech support,

A member of ours recently experienced log in issues. She had clicked on the agenda link that was embedded in the email that was sent to Club members, using the email agenda feature of the website. Here is her message:

As I went to sign up on the agenda you had attached to your recent email, I clicked on ‘sign up’ on the line of the role I had chosen, which brought me to the member log in page. On the line where I should write in my name, your name was already on that line. I erased it and typed in my own name but then my password was rejected. Not being sure if I had clicked on the wrong bar (because it was for Word of the Day, which is just below a role you had signed up for) , I tried again but the same thing happened.

She is using an ipad/Safari to access the website. She has used the site/logged in many times successfully, and as recently as 2 days ago. She did not change her password.

Do you know why my name would appear as the default sign in name?

Thank you,
Krissy

Update from member:

As follow-up to my previous email, I want to let you know that I was successful in signing up for the role I had chosen when I followed the link to our website first, instead of signing up directly on the agenda you had attached to the message.

We still aren't sure why there was an issue with clicking on the sign up link, and being brought to my default sign in name.

Thanks,
Krissy

You will get that if you forward those meeting agendas to a member.

When you forward the emailed agenda, the email has no way to adjust the intended recipient in the code for the sign-up buttons. Emails are static... once they are sent, they are essentially "locked down".
