Member Bio Disappears

Hi,

I've been assisting fellow members with their bios and related information. However, when I have changed their designation of Toastmaster level or corrected something in their Bio, their public Bio disappears. Yet they were there prior to me doing anything. I've also noticed after this happens the checkmark disappears from their account to have them viewed in public display. Is there a glitch in my system doing this?

Only the members can change their personal information, having you touch it turn it private.

Hi Steve,

I am using a desktop PC with Windows 10; Firefox Browser ver. 78.0.2
I first noticed the problem when I would be signed in as a Site Administrator and would make changes to the Membership Management section.
I would select a member under Member Contact Information: then select an individual under View/Edit Profile; Basic Information tab:
then select Your Name with Toastmasters Designation and make updated changes there. Usually, when a member gets another level completed in Pathways I go in to make the change to their name. This then causes the members profile to go private.

Or if I made a change in their Bio it happened but Brian stated that will make the members Bio private. So I won't change that anymore. But do need to update their Pathways level.
Does that help?

Ok, I have confirmed that there is an issue here. Brian was likely guessing that this works in a way that it does not.

The public status of the profile (shown on Meet Our Members page) should not be changing unless a member explicitly changes it themselves.

Let me look into this a bit more...
