Auto-notifications of role assignments not being sent to members

Hello:
I tried to search documentation on this feature under global settings, but it is unclear to me how it is supposed to work. Our club has had this option checked for quite some time, however, members are never getting notifications of role assignments. We currently have global settings to notify the toastmaster and club officers of people taking or dropping a role in the next 1 meeting. Does auto-notify tie to this 1 meeting designation? We create agendas for several months in advance and assign members to roles far out. We hoped that auto-notification would immediately send the notice of their role assignment even if the meeting is a month from now.

Thank you for any assistance/guidance you can provide.

When you assign a role or the members signs up emails are generated.

Please give a specific example, agenda date, person involved and role assigned or selected.

Hi Brian,
I have been with this club for 2.5 years - auto notifications to role assignees have never gone out to anyone, ever. The only notices that have worked are the ones we have checked above. But the feature "Also notify affected members of role assignment changes made in the dated agenda editor" does not work and never has according to past members. If you want to check history, feel free to look at my profile: Christie McCaulley or our president and IPP Rita Hewell or Shamaine Wynn. We tried troubleshooting ourselves and testing it but it does not do anything. We did turn on "confirm" and that seems to be working.

Hi again,
If you need a specific instance to check: I just went in as admin and assigned Shamaine Wynn to humorist, Rita Hewell to timer, and myself to grammarian for the 7/31 agenda. None of us received an auto notification, and we have notifications enabled in our profiles.
Thank you for investigating.

Hi again Brian,
I would like to clarify: we ARE getting for the very next week. What we are NOT getting is changes BEYOND one week. What you are showing here is changes made for the very next meeting. Can you check on notifications for meetings *further out* than one week? That is where we are not receiving notifications. I gave you specific examples for the 7/31 meeting. I can do another test if you need another example.

Christie
